Croeso i Dosbarth Wrexham Town!

Autumn Term 2020

We are so thrilled to welcome you all to our Dosbarth Wrexham Town team this year! Both the staff and our delightful nursery and reception children are looking forward to the exciting learning journey ahead of us!  We are sure to have lots of fun, stimulating and interesting experiences to really engage and challenge our children.

We have decided that our class topic this term will be.....'Once upon a time....!'

This magical theme will undoubtedly allow us to touch upon the awe and wonder of the Foundation Phase and really use our imaginations and get lost in fairy-tale land.  Our main stories will be based around traditional tales such as, 'Little Red Riding Hood' and 'The Three Billy Goat's Gruff' as well as some classic Disney stories such as 'Cinderella'.  We will also focus on our factual, non-fiction books too and look at castles.

Please see curriculum map below.

We hope that you will continue to follow your child's learning journey via their very own SeeSaw account. you can also follow us on Twitter @FPSWrexham.

Our class P.E. day is every Thursday.

All pupils will need to wear a P.E. kit to school on this day.

(Reading and homework days will be confirmed at a later date

due to the current, national situation).

Last but not least - our popular class pal, Gary the dog will be joining us each day in order to bring an extra smile and ray of happiness to us all.  He loves to learn lots of new things and he is very happy to be part of our gang!

(Please remind him not to eat too many sausages boys and girls)

We look forward to working with you and your child this year!

If you have any worries or concerns please telephone or email the school and we will respond to your message as soon as we are able.

'One team, One Vision'.

Best Wishes,

Mrs A. Gray, Miss A. Donovan, Miss S. Vincent and Gary the Dog.
